A motion was made to accept the treasurer report and was seconded/approved.

 

Mini Reunion – All arrangements confirmed for the 26, 27 and 28 April 2007 at the Augusta Blind Rehabilitation Center (ABRC).

Grant Committee – The paid grant writer (Diane) gave President, John Sherrer a listing of sources of grants.  At this time, no interest and is tabled until further researched by other members of the board.

 

Website (ABRCAA.com) – Under construction.  Will be available for viewing by 1 May 2007.  Webmaster will be Cheryl Gajadhar.

 

Membership Chairperson – Not available/absent (Don Srail).  Subject tabled until next board meeting.

 

Family Support Program – A request to change the eligibility requirements to get help to those who are not eligible to go to Augusta BRC.  The board denied this request due to Constitution/BYLAWS specific disability (blinded veteran community only). 

 

Auto Donation Program – Tabled at this time.  Pending additional research.

 

Fund Raising Program/Items -  At the mini reunion, Tshirts and additional hats (totaling about 50) will be sold at the mini reunion.  Request an earmarked amount of monies for this purpose be given to the Roque’s for purchasing these items.  Approximate cost for 50 caps will be $416.86.  ( Ό  in winter and the other Ύ  in summer)  A motion was made/accepted and seconded for this reimbursement amount.
